Updated February 2013.
At WorldatWork, we care about online security as much as you do, so we’ve taken steps to ensure your personal information is safe and that all your worldatwork.org transactions are secure.
Our website uses various forms and methods to make it convenient for you to request information, order publications, register for seminars or events, chat or post messages, or for us to contact you. This requires that you give us contact information such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number or credit card information.
Each time you visit our website, our Web server automatically recognizes your domain name, not your email address. We collect aggregate information on what pages you access or visit and information volunteered by you, such as site registrations. This information is used for:
You may decline to accept cookies sent by the site by selecting an option on your browser to reject cookies; however, portions of the site that require registration will not be accessible to you.
WorldatWork uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving member and nonmember data exchanged with our site. We have appropriate security measures in place at our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
WorldatWork protects you while you shop at worldatwork.org. WorldatWork uses the industry standard in secure server software. All of your personal information, including your credit card number and course transcripts, are encrypted before it is sent across the Internet.
The WorldatWork website contains links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by WorldatWork. WorldatWork is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these other websites. You are advised to read the privacy statements of any linked site. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
WorldatWork uses email addresses for its own purposes of keeping members and customers informed about association events and providing product, service and information announcements. In addition, if you are opted in to receive email from third-party companies, you may receive periodic messages from WorldatWork Local Network partner associations, research partners, vendors (e.g., technology organizations) and other reputable companies. We offer you the opportunity to regulate the type of email communications you receive from us. You can make changes to your personal preferences by logging on to worldatwork.org and clicking on "My Profile."
Each WorldatWork member’s email address in the Online Community is a "blind" address, thus concealing the email address but still allowing messages to be sent. The Online Community message volume and the content of messages may be monitored to ensure proper usage.
If you supply us with your postal address online, you may receive periodic mailings from WorldatWork with information on new products and services and upcoming events. You may also receive periodic mailings from other reputable companies; however, you can have your name put on our do-not-share list. If you do not wish to receive other mailings, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org; calling 877-951-9191 or 480-922-2020; or checking the appropriate box when making the request.
If you supply us with your telephone number online, you will only receive telephone contact from WorldatWork. We do not share telephone numbers with other companies for any purpose.
Our site provides WorldatWork members the opportunity to opt out of receiving email from us:
You can change your preferences at any time. Go to My Profile (you must be logged in) select "Edit Info" under your name in the left navigation. You will see "Email Preferences" on your Account Information page. If you have any questions or comments, email email@example.com, or call 877-951-9191 or 480-922-2020.
When participating in Online Community discussions, users are asked to review and abide by the rules and etiquette points.
All online survey data will be reported in aggregate. No individual company data is ever released or identified. Unique survey identifiers (e.g., member identification number) are kept confidential and will only be used by authorized WorldatWork staff to get in contact with survey participants if necessary.
Upon request we will provide site visitors with access to their individual customer number, password or demographic information. Visitors have the ability to access this information by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 877-951-9191 or 480-922-2020.
